Well, it's no secret that the New York Times loves Portland. Written up many times a month, Portland is often featured as "one of the last affordable great cities" in this country. The food scene in Portland has been making splashes internationally as of late, and this article has a good explanantion as to why. Fresh, local produce, world-class wines, and a fun independent spirit have all helped make Portland a great city for dining. I live in an area of Portland that is quickly growing and expanding, and it is becoming harder and harder to choose a new restaurant to try on the weekends. Too many choices! (No, I am not asking for your pity) ;)
