  • Nobody can prevent you from praying. What is wrong is to impose prayer. True prayer is private and silent.

  • I've never understood when pro-public prayer people (PPPP) say that God can be taken out of school. What does that even mean? And no one in school can control your thoughts. Pray, privately and silently, as much as you like. Who can stop you? Does God have to obey no trespassing rules so that, if there is no designated public prayer time he can't hear prayers of students?

Isn't the real issue that PPPP want there to be a public display of prayer, a prayer time, which would entail making people of different or no faith sit there while PPPPs made a public display of praying? If not, what, concretely, are you asking for?

  • No one is stopping anyone from praying. You can pray all you want to in school, work, or where ever. Just do it silently. We can't have public schools conducting open prayer in school. We have separation of church and State. Don't cram your religious beliefs down my throat.

  • Public prayer does not belong in public school. Do what want silently to yourself but do not force your belief on my child. Just because I'm curious would you allow public prayers for of religions you don't belong to or would you then become the objector once the shoe is on the other foot.
