What happens to wife if wife has breast cancer? In US Healthcare System her chances of survival are much better than in UK's NHS. What if wife needs heart surgery? Brain surgery? MRI? Does she get those that day in the NHS?
Forgot to ask . . . did they set your wife's broken leg in the emergency room? If not, why not? If they didn't, that would be the first case I've ever heard of where a person comes into an emergency room by ambulance and is sent away without a broken limb being set.
Further, are you saying that in the NHS, if your wife needed to see an Orthopedist, or any other specialist for that matter, that she would have been seen that day?
I'm having a hard time piecing your story together and reconciling it with what I know about medicine in the US and the UK. -
There is a reason Truman suggested universal healthcare in 1948. The English saw the need and united a war torn country through a system that valued people over products. If only we had done the same how many millions might still be alive?
