I never gave up on the tie! (Still more fun to see a girl wear one...)
I admit in lieu of the tie I wear a lanyard with my work key-card hung on it, which is a clear power symbol similar to a tie, but any chance I get I sport the tie.

$343 million in tie sales between March 2006 and March 2007 to the 18 to 34 demo? Yeah, no joke ties are popular again!

An acquaintance of the family started making/selling ties when her husband moved their family to Japan and she had nothing to do. They're back in the US now and apparently, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus carries her line! I think the line is named after her: Mimi Fong. Maybe I should get into making ties!

I like this look on girls. It would be cool if there were a fad for women to wear "school girl" outfits to the office. Nothing too sexy or silly, but the style -- plaid skirts, oxfords, crisp white shirts -- is very attractive and different.

i just really love the excessive repetition of the name "mccracken" in this article. haha.

CCampbell - LOL!! Can't believe I missed that when I read the article. Awesome. I had a friend named Melissa McCracken. Still a top contender in my list of best names ever.

tori, i'm so pleased you share my amusement! i think that whether he knows it or not, the reporter must feel the same way. yes, on some subconcious level, mr. colman's strong peppering of the name in his piece reveals a deep appreciation for all things mccracken.

Just make sure your tie isn't a BOW tie...
