Dario Franchitti is the most recent open-wheel guy to give NASCAR a whirl. Last week he did an ARCA race at Talladega, Alabama. This week he'll be doing a truck race at Martinsville, Virginia. Could the tracks be any more different?
Dario, whom you might think is Italian, but is actually Scottish, won the Indy 500 this year. He joins Juan Pablo Montoya, Jacques Villeneuve, Sam Hornish Jr. and Patrick Carpentier. Of those listed, only Carpentier hasn't won the Indy 500.
