Sure people go to Austin Texas' Second Sunday Sock Hop to show off their dance moves, but mostly they go to show off their outfits. Austin vintage junkies bring out their best for the dance night, formerly held at the historic Longbranch Inn and now held at the Scoot Inn (http://www.eastinns.com/). DJs play the best of 50s and 60s dance music, talc is thrown down on the floor for fancy feet work and by the end of the night even the wallflowers are doing the watusi.

i split a limo with this girl to the hillary clinton rally the other day, and we ended up at this punk show in half moon bay. all her weird hippy friends were there, smoking drugs. it was the strangest columbus day ever...

The ever present [at least in SF] fashion conundrum..did this guy pay $250 for this sweater with individually made and carefully placed bleach spots, or was this a genuine, random, hard earned thrift store find? The spanking new almost matching turquoise shoes and perfectly worn-out jeans point to the former, but the slumped posture and stupefied grin point to the latter...hmmm

A cute girl in a cute dress just needs one badass accessory to push the whole look past cute to a party you want to go to.

If you're going to play like you mean it, you should dress like you mean it.

This gorgeous girl was walking through Philly's Rittenhouse Square in a sweet white frock and sophisticated Alexis Bittar necklace. A former model for M.A.C. in Italy, she says she's 37, but looks more like 21 to us.

and it's good. her name's allison and her age is timeless.

why is this interesting? ummm, because it looks like a hipster rainbow exploded on top of her. She's been swallowed by a psychadellic monster in the form of a hooded sweatshirt she stole from her older brother's closet. The channel shoes are the icing on the cake here.
