Getting Out of Porn

Oh I forgot. About 85% of them were molested or suffered psychological, physical or sexual abuses growing up. And many get raped or beated in the industry.The one that comes from a wealthy family told me that she has been raped twice in the industry. One time by a agent. Other by a producer. And she has been in hospital with broken bones from a beating by her porn actor boyfriend. The runaway have her nose broked by a porn producer that punched her in the face. Not a pretty world right?

Getting out is difficult, not because is like the Mafia, but becasue the serious personaliity problems of the average porn actress.
I'm in contract with four women that what ot get out of porn. Porn is literally killing them, but they have huge trouble getting out or staying out.
One is a adult child abuse survivor that has serious survivior that is a sexual addict and is under the pyschological control of her former pimp. Yes porn stars have pimps (sorry agents). Other has been disowned by her wealthy family and is in a abusive relatioship with a porn actor, she seem to be punishing herself by staying into porn. Other has been a teenage runaway from a pyschological, physical and sexualy abusive home, hates what she is doing for a living but she does not know how to do anything else. She earns too much money for a high school drop put. She tried to quit once but relapsed in two years, not to many good jobs for a HS drop out. The last one is one of the most popular girls around. Again she hates porn, she gets ill before a shot, she cannot quit because she has two kids to feed, bills to pay and she is married to a porn actor. Like Felix Vivious she is trying to get her own site going and to direct porn instead of acting in it.
According to them, most porn chicks do not enjoy shooting porn, most of them drug themselves into performing and about 90% are heavy, heavy sexual abusers of meth (the favorite), alcohol and coke (the classics) and up and coming, morphine and liquid opium. Mexican brown tar heroine also has her devotees. So percoset and oxicontin.

Why assume pornography isnt glamourous?

Funny, FelixVicious doesn't actually say that she wants to get out of porn, just that she's tired of doing boy-girl scenes for studios, and wants to concentrate on her website (assumedly porn). I work in the industry and don't think I've ever came across someone who "can't get out." This isn't the mafia -- the only point that you've been able to make is that sometimes the money's too good.

It's not a perfect industry by any sense, but this question is patronizing and misguided. Why would you front load a question like this, rather than asking something more open ended "Like, 'Are you in porn? How do you feel about it?" rather than some Sally Jesse Rafael-style pre-determined piece. I get the sense you don't want the actual stories, but rather media porn about porn that supports your thesis. Disappointing.

So interesting that you are asking this question Carrie. Seeing as how it's fashion week in LA now, I was at an event that was honoring a fashion designer who just had her fashion show at Smashbox Studios on Monday night (10/15/07) and I was able to catch a glimpse of it and I liked what I saw. I found out yesterday that this lady was a HUGE porn star-turned pretty successful designer and she does not try to cover up her past. Could this be a possible interview subject for you? I find it amazing how people can get out of it and find alternative ways to achieve succuess. Let me know.
