STATEMENT FROM FORMER VICE PRESIDENT AL GORE
Friday, October 12, 2007
I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This award is even more meaningful because I have the honor of sharing it with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change--the worlds pre-eminent scientific body devoted to improving our understanding of the climate crisis--a group whose members have worked tirelessly and selflessly for many years. We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level.
My wife, Tipper, and I will donate 100 percent of the proceeds of the award to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a bipartisan non-profit organization that is devoted to changing public opinion in the U.S. and around the world about the urgency of solving the climate crisis -

Congratulations Al... Unfortunately, we're still sucking coal and gasoline fumes and dying ever so rapidly. So, love that you're getting some much deserved credit for bringing this to our attention, but all that means jack since we're still in it!

Not quite a triple crown ... as comparing a nobel to an oscar or emmy is like comparing Al bundy scoring 4 touchdowns for polk high to being the superbowl mvp.
Congrats on them all Al, but this one shines ever so bright ! -
He is a great man, because he stood up to something he believed in and against people and leaders who were disbelievers. He convinced a large number of people that science can not be government controlled by the leader of your country. He proves, Science Rules!!! He convinced the non (science) believers.
