Two reasons to LOVE Missoula

A federal judge from Missoula, MT has warned Bush's top forestry official that he may go to jail for contempt of court. The case was brought to court by Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics. They are challenging the use of a fire retardant containing ammonium phosphate that was used by the U.S. Forest Service to fight wildfires. In 2002 the substance was used in a fire in Central Oregon. It polluted Fall Creek and killed 20,000 fish.

    • This is not totally unrelated--but I got a speeding ticket in Montana back in April and the officer along the road told me the ticket would not count against my driving record and thus raise my insurance rates.
He was wrong--becuase I'm licensed in Ohio, it was reported back to them and it shows up just as "SPEEDING"--i could have been going up to 25 mph over and it would have been the same as the 5 MPH over I was doing.

I wish my judge would get activist on USAA insurance(
