This video is a total 10/10, and accurately depicts how I use social networking news sites in my daily office life.

I wasn't aware that .tv would be eliminated in favor of .com. Am I so old that change scares me? or do I still adhere to "don't fix it if it ain't broke". Well, "newer, bigger, better" is the never ending war cry of "progress"...

Again part of my childhood innocence is shattered...

The old pages had nothing wrong with them. So why change them?
All I want are the embed codes. I just wanted to copy, and paste them to my fubar.com account.
That's pretty plain and simple. I will never post a video here.
I'm only looking for funny, and weird stuff to put on my favorite site.

My first impression was not good---- Why would I want a link to "4 things to never tease a guy about?" and what the heck does "currently popular" mean?, but now I'm going to be more positive and explore.

I like how the videos don't play automatically until you click them and how they auto resize to fill screen and how I now have the links to all my old greenlights, but not sure about the rest. Now Redlights are Nopes? Can I change a "Nope" to a "I liked it?" Where are all my Redlights, or Nopes, how do I keep track of those?

I won't give up yet, but I hope I can figure this out soon! Cove

The biggest problem I see with this new website is that the VC2 producer section has taken a back seat to the constantly added online links and comments. This website does everything the internet already does. Is that good? It feels like The internet within The internet. Now we actually do have...the internets.

Okay, so this took a few hours to get used to. My first reaction was "ack!", but now I'm feeling Prozac'ed and well-adjusted. The tips on following topics and connections in My Current greatly helped to "de-complicate" [sic] the whole mess for me. Also, understanding VC2 Contenders vs. everything else was a big fog-lifter. I think I've got the hang of this new way of collaborating and exploring. Current has blurred the lines quite nicely and it's not so scary after all. Quite nice actually.

Things I like about the new site:
-- the On TV interface is excellent
-- ability for Mail might be useful(though I've not yet used this)

Things I miss from old site:
-- I like the layout and content of the old front page much better. It had everything I'd want to see when first looking.
-- I liked the pods against the black background.
-- I'm not particularly interested in all the Viewpoints which take over the frontpage and seem to dumb down the content
-- I look to Current for avant-garde indie media and polished pods. Not for a replication of MySpace or similar networking venue.
--quicker loading of pages than the new
--pods played in larger footprint, at least on my browser. A bit hard to see in the new.

I have more exploring to do and will try to keep an open mind, but after about 3 visits checking out the new site....my vote is to go back to the old, though keep On TV section!

I have to agree. What I find here is a suburbs of dead end cul-de-sacs, and al lack of acess to video;pods,promos, and v cams. The information seems to be accesible through a sort of browse by topic format. Great for eBay, and maybe for You Tube, but I fail to see how it benefits us here at current. I can't seem to find a homepage for the video I've uploaded, and I had to do a search for the ecospot challenge to keep abreast of my favorite contest. Let's hope that a new urbanism of better communication through e-mail, and a better program guide will be indicitave of good changes still to come from current. Still the best place for cutting edge video on the internet.

Next we could host a website www.brett_saves_hollywood.com.. Do you think that domain is available? Brett would be the best Mayor ever!.. We could get the Coors Brewing Company to sponsor his media blitz.. now if we only knew some people that create cool websites... hmmm
