Bush is losing his war in Iraq because he is driven by fear. Without clear Vision, and clear Mission, the Pentagons strategems aren't a substitute for lack of personal integrity and, commitment that inspires heroism.
Gore is the only potential candidate who has: courage of his convictions; love of country beyond jingo-ism, national hysteria, and, personal ambition. He brings passion and, personal honour. His reason combines readily with his humility, both necessary for team-building and, negotiations.
Here are my Vision, Mission and, Goals for his presidency:
Vision: Safe, healthy and, clean America. SAFE from enemies without and, enemies within. Bush's administration feels as though Big Brother is running Animal Farm. HEALTHY daily lives of promise and, hope. CLEAN: hearts, hands, minds, air, water, city streets . . .
Mission: Return America to Peace and, Prosperity PEACE beyond cessation of war; beyond begrudging table scraps to the poor; and, beyond the posturing of sycophants and hypocrites. More, even than the economic PROSPERITY of Clinton-Gore balanced budgets, but remembering the American dream after WW II. We need an America enriched by the civil reforms since the 1950s, and, grounded in fair values for our future.
Goals: Truth, Justice and, the American Way
Truth from the mouths of politicians, educators, religious leaders, community leaders and, within our private lives.
Justice inherent in the Declaration of Independence and, the Constitution.
American Way of religious freedom; dignity unfettered by poverty; healthy children born into healthy families; tragedy faced with self-respect; and, compassion toward all.
Every presidential election ought to lead this nation in celebration of who we are; to re-visit our history and, re-commit to Liberty and, Justice through civil discourse and, fair campaigns.
Al Gore has the courage to lead this country back to its better self.

Tell us WHY this is INTERESTING?
Surely you jest. The world's biggest Bully Pulpit is up for grabs, and not one of the official candidates can pull their head out of their ass long enough to see the true issues, ones that Al Gore INTUITIVELY knows, and you want to know why this is interesting??
Al isn't the messiah, but he sure could turn things around in this country from Health Care to Global Warming. He KNOWS that we have an industrial base READY to take on Alternative Energy with simply a push.
There hasn't been someone since FDR (and maybe even not HIM) who was so perfectly poised to call the new shots that have to be made, and pretty damned quickly to pull our respective nuts out of the fire. -
As someone slightly older than Al Gore, I believe that he is our last best hope to reclaim our American democracy.
He truly understands the issues, not only issues of global warming, but of corporate dominance, healthcare, world economic issues, the United States constitution and history, Moreover, I believe that he shares a common goal of many Americans: the desire to have world peace and human rights for all.
I would actively support Al Gore and vote for him enthusiastically. This would be a first in my lifetime. I have previously felt that I was voting for the lesser of two evils when voting for a presidential candidate. This even though I have never voted for a repug.-

Mr. Gore, I'll make a deal with you. If you can honestly look me in the eye and endorse another candidate and state flatly that you're doing it because in your heart you believe that person would make a better president than you could, I will go away and not bother you any further to run.
Otherwise, I say you are "the one!" I, too, listened to that Constitution Hall speech, and I know you know how badly this administration has treated our Constitution and our rule of law, not to mention the Bill of Rights. Are you really prepared to leave that to Hillary to fix? Do you seriously think that she'll get you any further toward alleviating the global warming crisis than Bill did? Or do you think she'll give that coming disaster more lip service than anything else? I have nothing really against Hillary, but I must admit, my impression of her is she'd throw anyone under the bus given the right set of circumstances. Plus, I was not pleased with several of her senate votes, particularly the AUMF and the recent FISA and Kyl/Lieberman votes. If she end up our candidate, I'm not sure what I'll do, but I may not vote for her, especially if Bush has gotten us into a war with Iran by then based on that Kyl/Lieberman vote.
The time has come for you to face up to your destiny. It's been a good year, all things considered, with accolades coming from a number of different directions, but I'm afraid it's about to turn back to the ugliness of politics. I know it's a come down, but I really think your country needs you now more than ever. Please, run, Al, run! -

Dear Vice President Gore. You know that this is your time and that you are the one. Let's get it going. We've got work to do. This time, there are throngs of people who have read your books, listened to your speeches, and who will defend you against the smear machine with everything they've got, because they know that you are the only one who (1) gets it (2) has the skill set to do something about it.
I know you must be thinking: but what if it goes down in flames? What happens to the Alliance for Climate Change? What if people turn against the fight against global warming because it has become synonymous with my name, and the smear merchants attack and destroy me as they did 8 years ago? The answer, I think is that those who "get it" on global warming now aren't going anywhere. Most of those who would be swayed by the smear machine were going to have to be dragged to living a more sustainable life kicking and screaming anyway.
Go for it. Your time is now. We need you. -
