Joseph McPhatter, was injured in a accident while riding his motorcylce. Police say that he was ejected 100 feet in the air, and hit the ground at an impact rate of 140 mph. (He should be dead) However, because he was wearing the impact jacket (inflates like an air bag when in an accident) he only had minor injuries.
"Officials said McPhatter's crash was the first real-life incident in the U.S. where the jacket was used."
