The artist says: "It should be possible to insult all religions in a democratic way."
CNN wouldn't even show the offending image on its newscast for fear, I'm sure, of reprisal... even death.
Even I'm proverbially looking over my shoulder as I add my 2 cents here. It's sad that, in many cases, it isn't safe for a person to voice an unpopular opinion. This, to me, would only serve to create bland debates and even apathy.
Viva la vida!

Thankfully we live in a secular society. I think it's important to respect other people's beliefs, so it's a two way street. That's why neo-nazi's are allowed to protest, no matter how unpopular their viewpoint may be to the greater public. But death threats? That's fundamentally hypocritical. What is wrong with people?!!!

I have deep respect for this man. He is risking his life to prove a point. It just shows how ridiculous a religion can be when hundreds of people want to murder someone over a drawing. Islam is one of the most intolerant religions in the world. Im not trying to offend any one, but that is how it seems.

If he had put a dog's head on Mohammed's body, then I'd say he deserves some sort of punishment.

what harm does it do? So you think he's going to hell. Wouldn't that be punishment enough?
