  • Yeah. Current.tv was perfect. Why can't they coexist? Everything that was going on previously is now abolished? Bummer.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. As you get to know this site better I think you'll start to enjoy it again. Although I still feel like I preferred the last site. It was easier to see how popular your pod was and what was going on etc...

    What happened to greenlighting? 'I like it' is not as good.

  • I totally agree with you. I sent Current an email about it. I'm upset by the change. I don't like the "YouTube" look of current.com. I think that Current.tv should coexist. It's hard to watch good pods on the .com.

  • I totally agree...I really wish videos still had greenlighting and do you we still get paid $500 dollars atleast if our video gets on tv, I'm really confused about that detail. Does anyone know?

  • the old site had more of a "community of producers" feel to it. You felt like you were participating. I couldn't wait to submit a pod. Now I feel like I'm just searching...

    Even the look of the site, the color, the warmth, full pages devoted to producers
    sometimes I would check out other pods of producers who left comments on other pods, or greenlighted.

    The "like" "nope" voting options seem too simplistic.
    To be moved by a pod to the point that you wanted to "greenlight" or to have an opinion that the pod was just "not ready for tv" were better voting options for producers.
    the leaderboard added extra excitement, as well as following a pod on it's upward trail.

    And what's up with that "currently on tv page" I don't know what that's about!

    I'm a visual person...show me images, colors, clips, pics--not a lot of white space & text

  • This is really depressing me. I only started on Current about a week before the site changed. I was hooked instantly. I was enjoying watching my film ascend the leaderboard and working hard to get it exposure... now the new site has come along and a lot of the greenlights and comments about my pod have disappeared.

    Is it just me or did the website used to be full of crafted short documentaries?- now there seems to be loads of people talking to webcams.

    If I was new to this site today I'm pretty sure I wouldn't stick around - I don't think I'd know what the purpose of the site was? Anyone else think this? It definitely feels like less of a community now.

    Has anyone got any idea how the new leaderboard system works? If any staff read this message or any of these responses please will you leave us a response?

    We've created a topic for just these conversations.   • I agree the site is hard to navigate. There is so much information, and I don't know where to find anything. I feel cut off from the current community. I want to watch pods, but I don't know where pods are, blogs are, v-cams, promos.....help!

    Text and webcam are both are just fine. If you prefer to write do that. If you prefer to be seen do that.

    You can watch pods by clicking on make TV.
    I spend about 30% of my time here watching made-for- TV pods.

  • I deleted my old posts because because the video part of this site is working fine, it just took me awhile to figure out how to work it.

    I wish that pod greenlights and comments would go in a separate spot from links and regular old comments. I liked the old site where I could just view the pods I've given the greenlight.

    I wish I could change an X NOPE to an I LIKE IT and vice versa. A couple of times I've accidently clicked the wrong button.

  • I guess my perspective is a little different having never seen the "old" version but I really like this site ... and I do User Interface Design for a living. Although, I'm not a big fan of the Rolodex interface for the On TV section.
