I very much like the last points you make here Al, especially regarding hounding candidates with what we want until they make a commitment. I take that as a go ahead to continue to hound you to be our next president and I won't stop until I get a commitment from you. Thanks for your words of wisdom here, I'm in total agreement! :)

Mr. Gore,
Your method of going to the people directly to address this important issue is a methodology that works. Your recent policy issues regarding health care, bringing the troops home, and civil liberties were down-to-earth, easy to understand, and personal. Thank you for those.
The climate crisis issue seemed so big to me in years past that I didn't think what I did would make a difference if the large companies who were big polluters didn't do anything. I've changed my thinking and have taken many steps to offset my carbon footprint.
It is good to see people translating the possibilites into real-world workable solutions, such as the green-collar job movement in low income and poverty-level areas. Thomas Friedman's op-ed this week http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/17/opinion/17friedman.ht... about Van Jones' work with Green for All http://www.greenforall.org/) will help to get similar movements going.
I will second GoracleFan's comment: You told us yourself, Mr. Gore, to not stop hounding until we got what we wanted. WE WANT YOU! This is the moment in time where you are needed the most by We the People. Please consider being our next President.
