Encouraging middle schoolers to have sex?

School officials in Portland, Maine voted to make birth control pills available to students at King Middle School. Some are concerned for health reasons, religious reasons, and because students aren't required to tell their parents why they're going to the school clinic (only have to tell them that they're going to the clinic). Others say this deals with the reality that middle schoolers are having sex and need easy access to birth control.
