A new documentary is giving a voice to those often left out of the porn debate: the actors themselves. Is pornography a positive example of free speech, a negative example of anti-feminism or—more problematically—both? This is a contentious debate. What do you think?

  • Hey truespeak.. if you have something to say...please...dont hold back... LOL....just payin wit ya! I would like to see this documentary. So far any interview or conversation with porn industry people has not been much outside of saying "look at how I make money." There is just not much to talk about there.

  • I wouldn't take it too personally. I don't see much conversation about anything here on Current TV. Mostly people are posting things they find and moving on. Hard to get a reading about how people think or what they care about anything. sad really. I do know there is another small conversation about pornography vs fine art on another thread. Anyway, There is a major war going on and I don't see much talk about that either. i wonder if anyone knows we are occupying another country. That we have killed and displaced it's people. I wonder if anyone knows the planet is gagging on humans consumption of it's resources. I wonder if anyone knows how their new xbox or iphone perpetuates human injustices around the world.

    and you are right.. people have no idea that we are an invading occupier of a country and have destroyed a nations where people had their daily lives.. we'd made it the worlds disaster and people still believe the crap propaganda of our invader driven government. and can't discuss even our pent up phobic sexual repression in this country.. that is far from being free and open.

    I would not go out and buy the Iphone, they make suckers out of the american public with this stuff. but this country of people will buy any hype that is pushed to it.. it's about as mindless as many of the posting .. that have nothing to say beyond the initial post.. I've seen many that function to that degree of non function.. It's all summing up to show that America is not as smart as the world is duped to assume.

    American sexual repression? I don't think the majority of Americans are that complex - just try to discuss the occupation, the illegal American President placed in power via two STOLEN ELECTIONS, etc., and you'll find most to be mentally repressed, not sexually..lol.

    Porn Stars will never be taken seriously for their political positions, just for their reports on the working conditions in their industry. Any use of their industry by the feminists or the religious right for political gain, is more obscene than the porn industry!

    Good luck, porn workers of America, and KEEP YOUR CONDOMS ON! lol
