What would you have done if you were president on 9/11? How did we get down this rabbit hole? Why aren't you accepting your moral duty to run for president, Mr. Gore?

  • Wow. Loyd Hart told me he was the best stump speaker he ever saw. He was right! I have never seen a speach like that from a Current polititian. How in God's name did the media ever convince us that the man was wooden or that he wasn't a brilliant and I do mean brilliant orator?

  • O.M.G.!!! Wow! The fact that the media has not shown this to us (or Al's videos for that matter) is evidence indeed that in fact they DO NOT WANT US TO SEE IT!! Who is paying them off?? And who in the hell is saying this man is no longer political???????????? Forward this to everyone you know along with the Draft Gore petition (Draftgore.com) and DFA poll (www.democracyforamerica.com) so they can write him in. Al Gore must be our next president!

    Why are you badgering this good man? With all he has done and is doing, including giving you this forum I think it is absolutely rude of you to think he has not done his moral duty. He has no "duty" to run for anything unless it becomes a driving force in HIS heart and soul. This isn't just something you do to appease a group of people who just want you to do so to give them and the MSM a show, and I think he has explained his reasons quite clearly and is actually spot on about them.

    When are the people in this country going to step up to do their moral duty besides begging others to do it for them? This country hasn't gotten to where it is by any other means than laziness, ignorance, apathy, distraction, and fear. So do you think there may just be others who now have a more pressing moral duty than those who have actually been out here speaking up? Like say, this CONGRESS? You want to badger people to do their "moral duty" I sure think that would be a great place to start. .

    Please consider that these comments that annoy you are based on the feelings of many that WE the people in this country NEED a great leader. As you know, we haven't had a great leader in many years. I think what you are seeing goes beyond just pleas for a good man to run this country. What is really going on is the people of this country ARE interested in taking it back. More and more people are starting to do their part and the HOPE they feel requires help and guidance from someone with the experience that Al Gore has. You may not agree with the wording of this posting but just as Al Gore gave us the community to discuss policies and global issues he also gave us this community to voice our opinions about the leaders and/or those that make the policies. As it stands, AL GORE simply is the most qualified person in this country, and perhaps world, to lead the USA and the world through the countless issues we are facing. I have followed your comments and I know you are just as passionate about Global Warming and Environmental issues and maybe you can understand that people are just as passionate about having Gore as our President. I’m just not sure that it serves you well to put down people who are enthusiastic, hopeful and excited about a potential Gore presidency. Believe me, Gore can work for the environment while running the country because he is just that great of a man.

    Also, many of us have gone to Congress and have gotten nowhere. Leadership in this country appears to start or stop at the very top....

    BTW, great video. Very inspiring!

  • What he says about the reaction to memos similar to the Aug 6 memo is absolutely crucial.

    And that's why the MSM ignores this story.

    We had enough info in the FBI and the CIA about two of the hijackers prior to 9/11. And I have no doubt that in a Gore administration that info would have been shaken out and connected to other easily availble open-source info like phone numbers and addresses to identify most of the other hijackers.

    9/11 was easily preventable but the Bush administration never held a single meeting with the heads of the relevant agencies (he didn't even talk to the FBI director at all) so who can wonder that the dots were not connected?

    They would have been connected only if the people who had those dots had been connected.
    And connecting them would have been the president's job by calling for daily NSC meetings. Nothing less.

  • He's trying to light a fire under us to move. And to karikoz: Stating a fact is not putting anyone down. People are badgering the man based on his own words. I trust his judgement and frankly, saving this planet is more important now and that requires all of us. And in a Democracy power doesn't come top down, it goes from the people up.

    He is soooo obviously letting us know that it is up to us! He needs a mandate to be able to make the necessary changes to restore our democracy, save the planet and re-inforce our laws and constitution. If we are to have a voice and be able to participate in a bright future we need a knowledgable, passionate, honest and powerful leader to help us. Al Gore is the one and he is trusting us to use the new technologies (that he has oddly enough provided via CurrenTV) to do an end run around a television medium that we cannot access. We can spread the word and get him on ballots all across the country! He has not told us to stop. He will not campagn but will serve if chosen by his fellow countrymen!

  • I've signed the petition to draft Gore MONTHS ago, even before Edwards threw his hat into the ring (or any of the other Dems). I also passed the link onto to MANY friends and they signed it as well.

    There is not ONE person that I know that is not hoping for Al Gore to run.

    He is the smartest, most honest person out there.

    If there is more that I can do to support/encourage a Gore candidacy, I will do it - gladly!

A good start would be holding your media to account for their ONGOING and BIPARTISAN attempts to make a joke or a liar of this great man (saw some chowderhead at CNN repeat the 'inventing the internet' line to yuks all around the Saturday after he won the Nobel). They will continue so long as you let them. They did their level best to bury him in 2000 (and he still won the popular vote) and you can bet yer sweet bippy they're gonna try their damnest to do it again. Get yerselves organized if you really mean it.

  • So why not continue to do nothing, Stardate? Let them railroad Gore again, not to mention whoever else doesn't fit into their plan. "You can't do anything." Whoever thought the defining characteristic of Americans would end up being apathy? In 2007 that's how it shapes up, unless the collective citizenry gets off the couch and shakes off the Dorito crumbs.

    You CAN stop them. Since Bush was appointed my family has gone from middle lower income to almost no income we are only hanging on by a thread and it is getting stretching. tighter every day. We have no health care ...oh I could go on and on, I know we are not alone but that does not make it easier, I just hope we don't end up living out of our car....There is a million reasons why you should run and now it is more important that you do....I beg you "RUN AL RUN"

  • Al Gore is the candidate we need. Although other democratic candidates offer ideas, Al Gore offers insight only he can give. Al Gore is not covered favorably by the media because they fear his voice. Al Gore's book took them to task, but you had to read it, to hear it. If Al Gore decided to run, they would have to cover what he says. American media has been co-conspirators with this administration. George W. has spent our tax dollars, to put fake news on news programs, not by accident, but with full cooperation of mainstream media. American media no longer investigates or challenges facts. They spin the facts the way they choose, or are instructed to.

  • Somehow I missed this a month ago, one more of his incredible speeches buried by the MSM. He's absolutely right, knows what he's talking about and speaks the truth, but it's hard to put a fire under the majority of our population if we have to dig to find it. Al Gore has it all - - experience, intelligence, compassion and leadership - - and he has the priorities for this country straight. Conniepae is right, who else can we trust 100% to have the passion to put things right in this country and give a voice of reason back to the working class. I respect the man too much to judge his motives whatever decision he makes but I'm praying for some word from him on this in December. I'll never give up hope until I hear it from him.

We would not let them ignore him! I wonder if Al Gore would join the '08 race, would the Supreme Court take away our rights to support our 'Candidate of Choice'? They could step in and put in special rules for a 'New American Party'! I sure wish he would try! Wouldn't it be great if he could wake Americans. Stop the SPINNING IN IT'S TRACKS. If he would challenge the spin being spun with facts, he would force them to cover facts, not spin. Al Gore could put them all to SHAME! Someone needs to start feeling shame! What is being done to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, OUR THREE EQUAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT AND OUR CONSTITUTION is SHAMEFUL! (IT'S AN ASSAULT ON REASON)! IT'S A SCREAM!
