For the current and last presidential administrations, Truth has been called into question. During the Clinton administration, the only controversy or statements called into question was whether he was catching ass from his secretary.....not that bad until he committed perjury. But beyond that, the Bush administration has taken the naivete of the American people and has used it to misdirect us to complete darkness. Now, the average American is completely blind to what is Truth and who we should believe.
With his term nearing an end, Bush and his administration is dismantling and skeletons are gradually coming out of the closet. But what makes these "hidden documents" or claims made by presidential candidates Truth?
After watching a video on Current of Al Gore's speech on October 2nd this year, I wondered if what he is saying is true. He has gained this reputation as a missionary persevering to save the planet-- but what makes him any better? His criticisms of the Bush Administration are the popular ideologies and could simply be used to obtain more popular votes. Of all the cadidates, he is, after all, the one who knows about the popular vote the best.

So what do you think? Who IS full of shit? Who, in our governing system today, knows Truth?

  • This cynicism is part of who we have become. We have been lied to so many times, it is hard to know truth when we hear it. I know how you feel. I am going with my gut and intuition here. I have to believe that a man who has worked so tirelessly to rescue this planet would not lie anout what is happening here in the country he love so much.

    All we can do, MRamirez since we are not "insiders" is too do our best to look at what we see and try to understand what motivates people. Some people are merely motivated by greed and power (Bush/Cheney).
    I think it is obvious that others are motivated by being involved in noble causes that benefit all of us.

    This is a very important question for you to ask and you are right to ask it. I hope you find your answer.

    For one thing Gore made those points against the Bush administration long before there were
    "popular ideologies".

    Don't you remember Bush's poll numbers in Sept 2002?

    I noticed over the years that the most dishonest players in politics are the voters. They talk about the truth a lot. They demand it. They can be sooo outraged when they think someone in elected office or the media lies to them.
    But in reality they don't care about the truth. They are perfectly comfortable believing whatever they want to believe at any given moment-- regardless of whether that is true or not.

    For most voters the most important thing is to feel good. If that takes believing the hype they will do just that.

You are right that the majority of people are willing to bury their head in the sand until something hits home and affects them personally. But MRamirez is here asking this question while most of the country is watching football. So give him/her a break. This is what dialogue is all about.

    the only difference is Bush (GW2) is a terrible rapper he can't get his lines to flow, and Cheney ( "DickieC") don't do the mix and keep the beat tight.. But they got Bank... so.. they hold the ledger and push the line..

    They "thugged" their way in the White House and then Bum Rushed' Saddam... they been pushing up on all the Arab people.. busting caps like stomping peanuts.. He's been dis'ing congress and pimping and playing like a street roller from nation to nation, taxing and maxin' with the huff and bluff.. slanging mud and takin tuff..

    We got the American Gansta, in the big house "jetting and L'zine'ing".. while they lay back crusing with a lean.. hustlers and hoodlums..cuttin new ground, "blackwater henchmen".. slanging bullets layn em down..

    Gansta Style... Bush and Cheney..,.. boasting and bragging, . after hrs sheddin the suit and gettin with the saggin...
