That's what you call a slippery slope! Remember, the president swore to DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION. For that matter, so did each member of Congress. Therefore, in good conscious, they cannot reauthorize any bills which would grant unfettered access to the Executive Branch without judicial oversight, at the very least by the FISA Courts.
We can remind The President and our Members of Congress that our civil liberty is of the utmost value, and is guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. The 4th Amendment says: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
Once we start losing liberty, we are no longer the America we once were.
Patrick Henry said, "Give me liberty, or give me death."
