OUTRAGEOUS: NBC says its because he hasn't raised over $1 million. Gravel says it's because he speaks out against military action that is in GE/NBC's financial best interest.

  • Senator Gravel is a breath of fresh air in an other wise "business as usual" election cycle.

  • Goddamnit. I was really hoping for a Gravel/Paul ticket.

Why are the most sensible candidates from Alaska and Texas? The clean air, maybe?

  • Gravel actually gets it. Unfortunately, America doesn't. And Corporate America doesn't want you to get it. When I watched the SC debate a few months back, he was the only one who answered questions without sounding like he was regurgitating talking points. It is a shame.

Because they aren't the most sensible. Ron Paul doesn't believe in government. We already have one Texas good ole boy that thinks like that. We can't afford another attack on ourselves. Doesn't mean they should be excluded from the debates.

  • Since when do debating skills depend on the ability to raise over one million dollars? This is utterly shameful, scandalous, unacceptable. Email NBC's commercial sponsors to tell them you are boycotting their products until NBC includes Senator Gravel.

  • Let Gravel Speak! At the Oct. 30 DNC debate
Here's an online petition I found that's trying to get Gravel back into the debate. The former Senator was actually originally excluded from the CNN/YouTube debate some months back, and an online petition was able to get him in, so it may not be too late.

  • miss murray - like gravel, ron paul is farther from bush on the political spectrum than ANY of the leading candidates - republican or democratic. the reason they're so obscure is because they actually don't believe in selling themselves to lobbyists. they believe in making things right and leaving its neighbors and citizens the hell alone.

that's how texans do it, bush is a bad imitation. it might take a real one to fix what he's done.
