  • I agree with you 100%. Of all the illegal garbage this administration has pulled, this, in my opinion, is the worst. Especially in light of the fact that no terrorist has been caught in this country using these techniques. Even if they did catch someone, it still wouldn't justify violating our constitution rights or breaking US law. There are protocols that are in place that allows the government to seek a warrant retroactively if they believe they will not have time to react to a potential terrorist threat. On a broader scale, hundreds of thousands of US citizens have fought and died in wars to protect our democratic form of government. The illegal eavesdropping by the Bushies is a gross and callous insult to their sacrifice.

    [its not scary that govt is listening] but what makes me angry is the thought of them sharing it with non government multinationals seeking to use our info for comercial advantage

    or the watching of us to collate files that become permant record ,people are allowed to form opinions, have disagreements with govt policy without becomming flagged for simply speaking out

    when govt gets as parinoid of people speaking out [as the us govt appears to have become ,it can become scary ,but only about what the info they are coallating will be used to ecuse thier further oppressing ,our rights to think , or simply our inherant right voice our reasonable concerns

  • “I agree with your post about Government Eavesdropping”, it is very scary! I also think it would give them too much power over us! It is very much true about our civil rights; we have freedom of speech, and by eavesdropping it would be taking it away! We should be able to say whatever we want without watching what we say!

  • i agree with your post about how government should not be allowed to eavesdrop on citizens of the U.S. It is a scary thing that they can look in our e-mail when they want. listen on the phone. that kind of things they should not be allowed to do. your right what about our freedom of speach? this should not be allowed!

  • I agree with your post about government eavesdropping. It is scary that they can just check out our stuff whenever the hell they want. We should be treated like a U.S. citizens and not someone who they think might blow up the country. Lol  Just because someone may look diverse from a “traditional American look” doesn’t mean that we can just tap into there phone lines or read their emails or mail. I agree 100% with you on this.

    We the people actually control the government they can’t function with out us.
    We have amazing sway on the government are core democratic value popular sovereignty “the power of the government comes from the people. The people are the ultimate authority over the government.” With this in mind get out there and make America better the people are the power!!
