My husband, an American Native, reminded me of this on our morning walk. First it was the African slaves, which created big wealth, then it was the immigrants, like my grand parents working in factories, living in poverty with the dream that their children would have it better, now out sourcing to poor countries and Mexican labor.

This country is used to running on this kind of cheep labor, it is almost expected at this point. This mega-wealthy thing is considered normal, something to aspire to. Carol Mosley Brown said it well when she referred to "A culture of greed needs to be addressed," I would like to go there.
