Al, I don't think you're our savior, no one person can save a "nation that chooses to be asleep" as spoken by Princeton professor Cornel West on Bill Maher's Real Time show on HBO on September 7th! You are just the best catalyst for positive change this country could have right now! Hillary is not our best option. Rapper/Actor Mos Def said it so well on that same Real Time Episode: "Hillary Clinton is just another form of dynasty to me. They passin? the presidency around like a party joint. It goes from the Bushes, the Clintons to the Bushes and back..."! He and Professor West have endorsed Barack Obama, but I fear he doesn't have the experience to have the support needed to win. (Maybe he would make a great running mate for you as others have suggested...)

As far as Hillary is concerned, it's one thing to come up with a health plan that says what everyone wants to hear but another to come up with a realistic plan to fund it that has the feasibility of getting passed by Congress! The Democratic Congress has been a disappointment. They should have revoked the President's authorization to use force against terrorism immediately...now we are facing more impetuous reactions to Iran from the Bush Administration. It has become impossible for us, the general public, to separate fact from fiction from an Administration that ?cries wolf? and a Congress that?s so scared of offending their electorate that they stand for nothing! I respectfully submit, dear former Vice-President Gore, that the handwriting is on the wall, and that the "Inconvenient Truth" for you is that this country needs you to make this sacrifice and run for President in 2008! Global warming and your other endeavors are in place, have a life of their own, and can't they be overseen by those who already help you? You, as President, are the best hope of your initiatives in this regard coming to fruition! You will have so much support you won't know what to do with us all! Thousands of us are tempted to write your name in anyway, so you might as well make it official so it will count!

  • There is certainly no better candidate than Al Gore! I heard an interview with Tim Russert this morning and they spoke about how Bill and Hill's relationship will effect White House operations. Can't have one without the other and we've already done that. I cannot believe Clinton supporters have not recognized how very undemocratic that actually is. Does New Hampshire have a draft Gore movement underway? Check the draft Gore sites. I do believe that Gore is having some anguish over this decision---This just may be one of those moral imperatives! Run Al Run!

  • If what I am hearing is correct, Vice President Gore is dramatically changing the landscape for campaigning--on THIS website. The fact that he has posted three "2008 campaign issues", as he stated in his most recent email, puts to rest any speculation that he is not at the very least, thinking about a run. How brilliant! Create and implement an interactive tool for issues, ideas, and platforms that is not dependent on the traditional media smear machine. Tell the people up close and personal without spin or misrepresentation what you think about certain issues. Provide personal feedback. If this is, indeed, Al Gore's intent and new strategy, his appeal and message will reach every American at the touch of the "submit" button. If he is not intending to use this for his own campaign and for the other candidates' benefit, it will give us a better idea of how they appear one-on-one. This scenario is not plausible, however. Why launch this website and post three testimonials just two weeks before the NH primary filing date cut-off? We'll wait for you, Al. It's you America wants, that much is clear.

  • Al Gore is polling very well without even declaring!

  • The elections of 1860 and 1932 were hugely important in American history; Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt were the right choices for our country. But the election of 2008 will be of worldwide impact, immediately. Good intentions and effective
fundraising and TV commercials are not enough; we
MUST have a Democratic nominee with the experience, understanding of world affairs, and gut-level commitments which ONLY Al Gore can offer. PLEASE enter the New Hampshire and subsequent
primaries and caucuses, Mr. Oughta-be President!

  • Every day I wear my "Gore'08" badge. People stop me and ask if Al Gore is running and then say they
would vote for him if he runs. As I wrote to Al Gore
this week.."hope springs eternal." I will not give up.

  • There certainly is a very active NH for Gore group. They have decided to stick with it and go for the write in if he doesn't declare. They are confident that he will come in at least second. I would agree, based on a 4th of July parade I did in NH with the Draft Gore group. The response from the crowd, expecially Hillary people was amazing! Applause, cheers, ran out of buttons!

    RUN AL RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dear Mr. Gore,

I was fortunate enough to see the speech you gave in Constitution Hall on MLK Day in 2005. By the end of your speech, I was on my feet, all alone in my family room, giving you a standing ovation with tears streaming down my cheeks. Day after day since Bush took office I and others on the net watched and read one abomination after another committed by them, and rarely if ever did any of this make the news. I felt like the person in the painting "The Scream" -- no one was paying attention. Then you gave your speech, and spelled out for all to hear what so many of us knew but no one in the public eye had voiced.

I wrote you a letter shortly afterwards, humbly begging you to run for president. Everything you have done since has only served to increase my conviction that you are the only one capable of taking the helm from the drunken sailor Bush and guiding us away from the shoals.

    Please, please, please run, sir.
