If you agree and have not done so already...please sign the draft gore petition. We need to make our voices heard.

Al Gore as a non-politician has been more effective than anyone else in getting major progressive messages to the forefront of the American political consciousness. I think he would necessarily lose his effectiveness, along with his stature, in the mire of the political fight to be elected. I believe that Al Gore should continue to do what he is doing.

Well....we have seen where the politicians have taken us. Maybe a non-politican is just what we need. Many who did not covet public office but sought to serve found themselves called to it. I doubt he would lose his effectiveness in delivering the message...but if we are really "of the people, by the people" we need someone who will listen and act on what the majority believes in while protecting the rights of all. (The Constitution) Al Gore may agree with your assessment. But one can only hope...

    bobkopelman - I disagree
    ealight46 - I agree 110%

Although Al Gore would have a voice as a non-candidate, as a candidate, he would have a SCREAM. America needs to SCREAM. Americans need someone who can lead the SCREAM and get us out of the mess we are in. Our Constitution and the war issues are far too important for just a voice. I WANT A SCREAM! AL GORE HELP US SCREAM! AL GORE '08!!!

I agree. I think Al Gore should have won and should be president. Look at all hes doing just being a global warming activist. He tours all over the world and makes speeches and informs people of the current situation. Imagine what he could do as president...

I have tried to think what can be done to save our future. Someone once wrote, ‘Superman’ wears ‘Al Gore’ pajamas. This link is the link to our future. http://current.com/items/85491991_al_gore_s_speech_oct_2_2007 A voice they could not take away! Al Gore would not let them ignore him! We would not let them ignore him! I wonder if Al Gore would join the '08 race, would the Supreme Court take away our rights to support our 'Candidate of Choice'? They could step in and put in special rules for a 'New American Party'! I sure wish he would try! Wouldn't it be great if he could wake Americans. Stop the SPINNING IN IT'S TRACKS. If he would challenge the spin being spun with facts, he would force them to cover facts, not spin. Al Gore could put them all to SHAME! Someone needs to start feeling shame! What is being done to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, OUR THREE EQUAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT AND OUR CONSTITUTION is SHAMEFUL! (IT'S AN ASSAULT ON REASON)! IT'S A SCREAM!

He could be the most effective best President in our history. I expect he will force himself to step in if things start going badly and we start to end up with a nominee he knows can't won't be good for us. Maybe Hillary?
