Al Gore and Chuck Hagel could 'Speak Truth to Power' in '08

After watching Chuck Hagel on Real Time with Bill Maher I thought he would be an excellent choice to help Al Gore get this country back on track. We need to Unite us as Americans, not divide us along party lines. Both parties are not representing the voices of the people who elected them. It's time for a change! We need Americans working together to get back on track. Al Gore is a Statesman, I think he is more than a mere politician. If he enters the race it will be for the betterment of America, not a party. There are many more video's on youtube which feature Chuck Hagel prior to Real Time with Bill Maher.     I agree. Way back before we even had the presidential campaigns going strong and Unity08 was asking folks to put forth their "dream ticket," I suggested Gore/Hagel as a real winner. The VP could come from a lot of places, but I still think Hagel would be one of the best.

    dkistner :), I think they would be great together. I started looking into Chuck Hagel's background after seeing him on Real Time, I liked what I found on youtube. We need people who care about America and our military. I hadn't heard anyone else suggest it. I enjoyed reading your post. Thanks, I'm not going to give up till 'the fat lady sings'. I would vote for Al Gore no matter who he chooses, but I would like something to generate conversation with ALL AMERICANS! Democrat and Republican.
