It's well past time for all the other abused writers in this country to strike, too. There's been bloody slaughter from the takeover of newsrooms across the nation and now even journalistic jobs are being shipped to India. Never in my 30 years of writing in various forms has the work been less lucrative.
The main trouble with a general writers' strike, though, is that most of us are working only freelance. They've got us where they want us.
