  • Chris McCandless Into the Wild: 15 Years Later
i actually just finished reading this book again, as a little refresher before i see the movie. i had forgotten about how this story made me feel ambivalent about the wandering alexander supertramp. one the one hand, i was angry and frustrated with his arrogance and ignorance, and on the other hand i was impressed by his ability to make it for as long as he did, by his free spirit, and by his confidence to just let go of everything and live for the moment. what do you think?

  • Personally I left the movie feeling inspired by his passion and wildness, while my dad left thinking that had Chris's parents acted differently their son wouldn't have died alone in the wilderness. I think you'll find some of both opinions without any particular answer emerging.

  • I am not going to lie I watched the movie before I read the book, only because I never knew the book was out there until my boyfriend took me to the movie and explained how he knew the true events about Chris McCandless.Man,I was so touched by this true story I can't help but to let it cross my mind everyday.Moving that bus would not be the right thing to do I honestly believe that.
