  • 1. draft al gore... sounds good as i believe mr.gore was legally elected to the presidency once already, and as i believe if he himself ran he would discredit all the amazing works he has done post political career. killing any chance he had at winning. his good form in not digging in his heels and fighting mr.bush when he stole the presidency in the first place shows his maturity, political savvy, and willingness to put his nation before himself.
    2. i feel ALL of the presidential candidates have shown what i would call an inability to think outside the box. an ability which i feel mr. gore has demonstrated under fire. his recognition of the "elephants in the room" (global pollution and the climate crisis) is a refreshing break from what i have come to expect from washington. i mean how can a politician ever hope to get enough funding to be elected without special interests? everyone knows politics means give and take and maintaining the "corpocracy" at all costs. in his recent book the assault on reason he blew the whistle. he chose the planet and humanity over corporate agendas and revolving door greed.
    3. i recently voted for the first time. i have always felt keenly the lie of federal level politics. dont think me unpatriotic i joined the national guard for desert shield.( naively believing i was defending democracy and saving the world. i was young. but i am still that proud young man inside.)i carry a sign around town at times to support impeachment and an end to the war.i feel it is my civic duty to cry out . i still love my country. i just mourn the death of our republic if we allow mr.bush to continue his madness unchecked. he ignores the supreme court and has a reckless disregard for checks and balances and the constitution/bill of rights ( not to mention the geneva convention)when they dont support him or his agenda.he knowingly and willfully continues sending our youth to kill the youth of the middle east in reckless vietnam type lunacy. i mean he lied,he ignores his generals!!??!!?? ,he covers up evidence, misrepresents and generally shows very poor judgment and a general lack of integrity misbefitting our representative to the rest of the world,he sets legal precedence for dictatorship like fascist rule in the future( i know i sound radical but these are my fears).the reason i voted was so that some statician somewhere would say wow this guy never voted in his life and he goes and does it to vote against good ol' g.w. bush? ( by the by i plan on continuing to vote) i feel viewing mr.bush as a lame duck is dangerous to the youth of the world. and the good face of democracy and the dream of republic are just words to him and his ilk. i feel it is short sighted not to begin impeachment. i believe that if we do not take steps to save our honor our mores and our good name that we are not living up to our forefathers dreams for us. i personaly feel impeachment not to be radical but instead to be nearly crucial if we are to show ourselves and our politicians that integrity IS part of our creed.( not to mention regaining the rest of the worlds good will and respect). you do not allow a murderer to walk free or a bank robber to continue looting. if your child does wrong you guide them to do better. i feel correcting our current situation must begin at home. let's clean house! show the world and our corporations er leaders we mean business! we mean republic! democracy! let's show them we choose life and sanity over greed and demagoguery. ( see im still quixotically naive! but wouldnt it be nice!?)

  • Al Gore, are you listening to "The People"?
The people of the United States are asking you to run. The leaders of the world show favor to you; and only you. The TV ad comes out tomarrow.... I hope you will respond with something.

Unite the world... only you can do it. You can only get it accomplished through the "Office of the President"

  • If a "write-in" candidate, wins the popular vote in a presidential election, can he actually become President of the United States? What are the rules and laws about this?

    Really need to know.
