my eyes welled up with tears. it's hard to apologize to someone to whom you've done wrong. but it's even harder to forgive someone who's done you wrong. a beautiful story of a hate crime come full circle.

That is good the guy was able to change his bad ways and in the end both guys became friends.Good story.

As an older gay man I have lived through 50 years of seeing Matthew's story over and over. That he and Tim were able to meet and resolve their issues (and that Current was willing to share this story with the world) is one of the reasons I am still somewhat hopeful for our race and for our planet.

Form the first time I found Current TV I have believed that this channel and its remarkable staff are the very VERY best of TV today. Over and over I have loved your pods and passed on information about you to everyone who will listen. This pod moved me so deeply that I was unable to pull myself together for a long while.

I have meant to write to you since I first came across you but have put it off. With this touching and inspiring story I was no longer able to delay thanking you. From a professional point of view I'm sure you all are seriously aware of your precedent-breaking activities. From my own personal and deeply emotional perspective, I thank each one of you for your incredible contributions to understanding, to justice, and to giving public voice to events about which the mainstream media has ether long reported superficially or been everlastingly silent.

I think the concept of tolerance is one well worth practicing. However, there is a fine line between tolerance and acceptance. Do you tolerate an individual, or do you accept them for who they are? Because homosexuality is very much a social stigma, I would say that there are more people who tolerate it than accept it as a way of life. It's nice to know that we can all acknowledge each other as human beings.

What a wonderful story very well done too.

This might be one of the most encouraging things i've ever seen in regards to the human condition. I feel a little weak in the knees. It gives me hope that anyone can see the error of their prejudices and grow into a more conscious person. Maybe all you "religious" right wing types, casting judgment in you're homogenized lives, have some hope after all. I can only hope. If a skinhead can see the error of his ways, anything is possible. Remember the rules you claim to follow. Treat others as you wish to be treated, and don't cast judgment on others unless you are prepared to be judged yourself.
