  • rtdesigns, That poll is corrupted. When it was first started it was pretty good. It showed Al Gore way ahead, and John Edwards a strong second, then Dennis Kucinich third. Hillary was 6%. A pretty accurate reflection of where people are at. After a while people figured out they can vote more than once easily. Now they are spamming it making it worthless. Sorry
  • I have received several emails from the Kuchinich campaign asking for signatures at DFA.

  • I'm not 100% sure I'd vote for Mr. Gore, but I am sure that he would be one of the most qualified candidates if he did choose to run.

Then again, there are surely more ways to better serve one's country than being its president.

He is the only one out there at this time that would make the climate crisis the number one priority. We need him.

  • Al Gore should have been elected president in 2000. It would have avoided a disastrous Bush presidency. Now is the time to finally put the right man in the White House.

  • To end the war, to prevent another one, to end spying on americans, to end the torture, to stop climate change, to upset the system. We need a new project.

  • There comes a time when we must make great sacrifices to make great gains.

You alone have the worldwide respect and knowledge America needs to correct our path and right our reputation across our beautiful planet.

    We have the resources.
    We need the guidance.
    You know what to do.

I promise to be beside you the whole way and answer your call to action.

  • I am going to be so overwhelmingly sad if Al Gore decides - for whatever reason - not to try to become President. He is by far the most qualified to lead this country, and the best positioned to tackle the #1 issue of our age - the Climate Crisis. I simply do not believe that he can influence this issue more as a private citizen than he could as President ( and they're not necessarily mutually exclusive ). While Mr. Gore has "no plans" to run for the office right now, his plans need to change - and change quick - because this planet is running out of time. That, and that other little problem of our Constitution being shredded almost daily, and Media conglomoration, and oh ... something called Iraq ( or was that Iran? ) ... Please Mr. Gore ... this is uniquely your moment, and the window gets smaller every day. There's truly too much at stake, for your plans NOT to change. You have achieved great things, and will always have prestige, and the world's respect. But now is no time to rest on your laurels. Take on this political fight ( on your terms ) , and position yourself to do the most good ( on so many issues ) for the most people. You ARE our President. Godspeed.

  • Mr. gore is right, some issues are a moral choice, not personal, not political. The only moral choice for Mr. Gore is to declare himself available to run for president should democrats not be able to reach a decision on a nominee.
Sometimes the good of the many does outweigh the good of the few. America needs you Al Gore. I believe they are asking for forgiveness for the failures of 2000. You can do more to change the world as president, than in any other manner.

  • because everyone should know mr gore is clearly the only man for the job of president. and i know most folks would feel real relieved and happy to know he is at the helm -finally. i would feel way more secure and i know he could do so much more for this country and the world on global warming with the power of the presidency at hand. he could influence so many more from office. hillary and obama are not right for this but mr gore is definately. god i pray he will change his mind and save us as a country and help to sway the world. god is giving him a sign but hes just been hurt so much by the cheating that went on in the system in 2000. try for us mr gore, youll make it a decent system again and we love you. margaret
