Or Waco TX. and the Branch Dividians,crazy or not,it was a church and we still have fredom of religion in this country,or do we?
Obama wants to have gun control at the federal level,just another trait of a scocalist.He needs to understand the scond ammendment and we are a country of the people,by the people,and for the people.So,even if they impose goverment control on all weapons,the criminals will always have them..
And as far as "non military" people having automatic weapons,under BATF guidelines,a person can own,machine guns,suppresors,certin typs of grenades,and automatic rifles(asault weapons)Oh yea,its true!but you have to go throgh extensive back ground checks,finger prints,pay a transferable tax,per gun,and be registered with the BATF..somthing the gang bangers and other criminal element do not do.Same type of laws exist on the state level for concealed carry,they just dont hand out those permits to any one.So you see lady,we dont need gun control,we mneed better crime control,and one of the biggest thing we can start to do,expel ALL illigal aliens,no amnestythat would remove a huge criminal element right there,but you say,but they have been working here peacfuly for years and have children born here" to bad ,that the consequence of their actions,and the good will have to suffer for the bad.Next,open war on the gang problem,agresseve arrest and imposing hard sentences,and on that note,instead of having them bunched up in the presure cooker prisions,working out and killing and fighting in jail,have em on a chain gang making big rocks into little rocks sun up to sun down,that will take the fight out of them.As for the illigal imigrants,they just need to follow protocal to be leagalized,tax paying citezens,and the world to a better life will be there,but legaly.Lets not take away americans rights,to enable those who would hurt this country.

Second, Easy access to guns? It's difficult now for a law abiding citizen, for a criminal it's easy as pie. Reason: THEFT duh. You think a guy about to rob the quicky mart walks into the local gun store and says "Hey you got anything I can take down this store with?"
No... He buys a gun that has been in another crime far away and recycled back into the underground market (A market I should mention that is harder to trace than the drug trade and has way more wealthy hands in it).
Gun Control was initially created to allow those already making a large profit with their FFLs to limit the amount of FFLs private citizens could get, Limit the amount of sales private citizens could make, and lastly drive up prices on guns. Now when I say drive up prices on guns we're talking about hunting guns already costing 800+ dollars. The typical gun used in a crime 50 bucks. Thank you for the ignorance.

You can't use an automatic weapon for target shooting? I think you can.
If you don't have easy acces to a gun its a lot harder to kill someone? I can think of about 100 ways to kill someone that don't require a gun- gun control won't slow down the murder rate at all. If you could effectively disarm the criminals too then maybe gun control would work but as long as they have guns, I want a gun.
Not to mention why the Constitution protects an American's right to bear arms in the first place...
