How we deal with people we capture is in essence giving a license for those people to deal with our own soldiers.

just kidding. I can't stand Huckabee most of the time. I like the idea of getting rid of the IRS, but then again, that was Ron Paul's idea, who now has officially no chance of winning the GOP nomination. which means my voter apathy has returned in full force.

It is interesting because you have to define when we NEED to use the methods that we should not use. George W. Bush thought that he needed to use the various dehumanizing techniques in our various torture facilities.
But, in the end we are our own worst enemy as far as torture because what goes around comes around. We abuse our use of torture and others will follow and I would not like to get into a war with the North Koreans with them torturing us in the same way. Nor, would it be in our best interest to act a the global police man or woman and take out of power a country that tortures the same way we did. With modern warfare any hostile nation can resent us in a very damaging way.-
