I saw this film a few months ago but the things talked about in this film still stay with me. This film is called When the Levees Broke...A four hour documentary directed by Spike Lee. It is not like a Michael Moore style documentary where he goes out and jumps into the faces of politicians in order to make them feel uncomfortable....Lee is pretty much behind the camera the entire time and lets the facts and the survivors show you what really happened when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. This film tackles many issues such as racism, the Bush administration and FEMAs handling of the situation, the media and how they all relate to the lives of the citizens who had their homes and their loved ones taken away from them. This cilp here specifically talks about how the media referred to these victims as refugees (which is typically known as someone who seeks refuge and safety in a country besides their own). This is a film definitely worth watching and will definitely spark conversation about this tragic event and how it was handled.

its only a snipit of a 4 hour doc... so i guess i will give you my opinion on the whole subject of the hurracane in n.o....IT WAS PREDICTED TO HAPPEN! i saw an in depth documentery on PBS with computer graphics and interviews with experts in the feild a fiew years befor it ever happened...people need to wake up an realize that voteing for the leader of the u.s.a. is not a popularity contest or a p.c. fashion show or what ever the hell people are thinking...you are hireing the most qwalifide person for a job...we have so menny huge problems in this country right now from the crumbleing interstructure to lack of personal welth of the average american to the retard in office and the war....way ,way,toomenny problems to be electing another retard who will continue things as they are..so menny hipacrits ,,they will vote for one becaus there black and another becaus there a woman but not vote for another becaus hes short and has big ears? as far as the video ,i need to see the whole doc befor i can make a proper judgement.
