Good article. Yes, I think Apple at one time was an elitist computer. But then viruses proliferated and Apple was untouched. Apple computers are very user-friendly and the ease of use doesn't stop there. You can go into any Apple store and get FREE help with your computer. I have bothered the Mac Geniuses many times with questions regarding my prehistoric Apple. They are always excited to see me and my dinosaur AND their advice is second to none. You can even bring dogs into their stores. (Come on now, that's HUGE!!!) If one doesn't get sucked into buying the computer with every bell and whistle or the many accessories that could potentially turn you into Stephen Spielberg, one will realize how great the basic Apple computers are. And the longevity of the computer, its solid construction, and the customer service will beat any deal from cheap pc corps like Dell. Go Apple!

I recently switched from a PC to a Mac (though I still must use a PC at work - but hooray not on the road as my company has or is about to order me a new shinny new MacBook Air) and know many others who have made or are in the process of making the switch but the scales are still solidly in favour of Microsoft with 92% market share compared to Apples 6%. Still, in fairness to Apple they have tripled their market share in the past two years so ... Go Apple!
