the Energizer company is deceiving consumers by packaging what is effectively an "AA" battery in a "D" size and shape, then marking up the price 400%, hoodwinking consumers into paying four times as much money for a battery that has extremely poor performance (by design).

  • this is outrageous, it is clear that energizer batteries are making lots of profits by doing this. It is not ethical to cheat your consumers because then consumers will lose confidence in that brand product. While it benefits for a short time because the batteries will last shorter time than the regular ( PEOPLE WILL NEED TO BUY MORE BATTERIES MORE OFTEN), in the long run the company will be affected by their income because consumers will stop to buy those products due to the lack of ethics the company has by doing such things OF CHEATING THE CONSUMERS.

  • You'll like this. If you buy one 6V lantern battery (around $5) and 1. peel off label; 2. break top off with screwdriver (can be dificult), 3. cut wires inside lid; 4. it has 32 AA batteries inside.
