A three-metre tidal wave is predicted to surge in the North Sea in the next 12 hours posing an "extreme danger to life and property", experts have warned.

The North Sea funnels the storm towards the UK's east coast.

"Residents in low-lying areas of the Suffolk coast were advised to leave their homes as up to 1,300 properties could be affected there."
