"A former technician at AT&T, who alleges that the telecom forwards virtually all of its internet traffic into a "secret room" to facilitate government spying, says the whole operation reminds him of something out of Orwell's 1984."

If you think they don't know you are at this site. Guess again.

This is like a nightmare. I cannot BELIEVE that these kind of measures are being taken to protect our "freedom". I'd rather have real freedom and take my chances. Are you listening feds?
-
I don't believe it's about protecting us.

AT&T urges Supreme Court to revies wiretap program.their case is on behalf of journalist and attorneys who claim these activities keep tham from doing their jobs. This is uncontested. The tricky part is proving that the NSA is listening.

MM, I agree, but you know that's the position that they would defend it from. Total bull. "The president has claimed the power to disregard any law that, in his view, infringes on his ability to collect intelligence," Unacceptable.

Angelina, Bush is insane. Why won't they remove them before they blow up the damned world?

I believe that this has been an ongoing thing for many many years. If they report all mail concerning Dubya to him let him know I think he is insane and the next suit he aquires should be a straightjacket.
For good honest reporting concerning the Bush administration use the AltNet site-
