Vioxx Puts Merck In A $5 Billion Hole

Merck announced a $5 Billion, thats BILLION, settlement in the Vioxx painkiller case. Originaley marketed for arthritis relief, Vioxx apparently causes strokes and heart attacks. The settlement will stop approximately 50,000 personal law suits. That's a lot of hurt people.
