Current TV Slam

I'm not pretty and I went to public school, so I guess I'm screwed.

I've been noticing the fact that nothing glorious can happen anymore, we've run the gamut of our filth. But here I am again, pretending spontaneity exists with idiots all lifted out their little gills. Aren't you disturbed and everything you did tonight is something else you did already and its meaning is still nill. And all the people in your presence are just weapons, it's just as simple as the theory that the dying love to kill.

I think what she's getting at is that the model does not reflect the real world and therefore strengthens the disconnect between the people creating content and those consuming content. If there is a disconnect felt, that would be especially problematic given the mission and format of Current.

I would be curious what the community in large thinks of this statement. Ultimately, their voice is the most important.

it shouldnt matter how you look. if you're competent and enthusiastic for the role and just happen to be good looking also, it shouldn't matter.

So... you can't be attractive and equally intelligent? Isn't that beating up your own sex in a way? If you're good looking and literate, it doesn't mean that you're stupid because you've earned a television role. Shouldn't she be rooting those women on? Hah, her logic sounds just as good as her voice.

I dont really care what she thinks. She needs to appreciatethe venue and move on. Grow up and fight about the real stuff that's going on like a President withholding democracy in a so called State of Emergency and our DA President having his back.

I am curious who she is referring to. Certainly not any of the Vanguard reporters who are all well educated and far more literate than she makes out. They are an attractive bunch, for sure, but her argument that that's all they are just doesn't cut it with Kaj's degree from Harvard, Mariana and Darren's from Columbia etc. etc.

she's just jealous she's not on current. i never liked listening to her whingy voice. but that's just my hot-ass opinion.
