Timbaland is one of the few mainstream producers out there whose music doesn't sound like it's all come straight from computer software. All budding producers should have hardware sequencers to compliment their computers.
Look at Jay Dilla, all he had was a turntable, a drum machine and a sampler and he made some of the deepest hip hop out there.-
