The strike far surpasses being worried that you are not going to get your weekly fix of LOST, people. The culture we know and society we live in is being shaped by modern technology and this is only the beginning.

Nico- i couldn't agree more. I think this strike does draw attention to issues that are significantly greater that the strike itself. Perhaps this strike will allow people to stop and think about the system that we have and how our culture is shaped--I don't think we've done a good evaluation of our media system and for the most part i believe we accept and subscribe to whatever we are offered.

Nico, your premise is absolutely correct, thanks for filling in the missing cultural component--what are the labor and human costs and possibilities of a modificafication in media dispersal and consolidation. Brilliant.
