A community in Nigeria, where most families have at least one set of twins, believes that the consumption of Yams could be the reason due to a natural hormone phytoestrogen which may stimulate the ovaries to produce an egg from each side.

i love yams!and i eat them all the time!! like, 5 times a week... AND i have twins in my family... omg. this is bizarre news. -
Diet can totally lead to twins, especially if your diet includes fertility pills.
