I think the last year has shown that our Eastern European cousins have proved that they're an asset to the country...

Good caveat - "as long as you can work".

From the video - ''We dont have the strongest working work force'' . Well we could also train people who allready reside here. Do you think thats a good idea? Also I dont think its been proven that imigration strenghens the eccomony (I beleve it there have been reports to say its there is no link - however I take news reports with a pinch of salt in general).
"as long as you can work".Ok, if Say someone from poland 'arrives' here and start work as a builder, do I think theres anythng wrong with that- no but if he gets that job instead of a UK resident (of any ethnic origin) who has been for any great deal of time time contributed (with taxes etc) do I think thats wrong -yes because...
''We dont have the strongest working work force'' you see I dont agree with that ( Our resourses (jobs etc) however are finate) we do not need the policy on immigration we have IMO, is it that bad to look after the UK resident 1st? - Our resourses (jobs etc) however are finate.
Your saying that my point of view is driven by insecurity, I think generally people earning over 30k a year or so are lot less affected by any policy on immigration and you find a lot of people in the working world who have your point of view are in this bracket (it could be argued due to an economic 'safety net').
To clarify this is an issue on resourses for me not people.
I hate to sound mean but I have given a lot of thought to my opinions on imigration and have formed them from this 'looking into' this and soul searching. Opinions of the kind different to your own can sound 'nasty' as we are dealing with people here, but its not about hating immigrants - in a nut shell I feel we have an open door policy on imigration* and its not doing the UK any good as the jobs we have are finate and the ultra liberal attitude (IMO) is very short sighted.
*as it go's Im not saying I know what a better system would be however I still beleve this re the policy. Also you say you are an 'immigrant' of course I have no idea of of your 'circumstance' and hope you realise from my comments I mean you no offence directly-or if it can be helped in general.-
