Reframing the discussion about poverty to include all of humanity is essential. Our response here in the United States tends to be very ethnocentric and, frankly, racist. The last time I checked, distance does not determine who is and who is not your brother or sister.

I agree with the man who is discussing the issue of the genocide by neglect. I think that every child has a right to live a good life. We should help all the children in not only the U.S but the world. Children should not have to live a life being sick because there parents have neglected them or can not provide for them. What I think we should give a few cents a day so that we can help these children nationally live a better and sick free life.
