A doctor can refuse to give you birth control because it's morally contrary to his/her own beliefs. Or the morning-after pill. Or an abortion. Or a blood-transfusion. Or a vaccine. Or surgery. Think it's ok to refuse an abortion? If he or she is not anti-choice, but instead is anti-vaccines, is it still ok? Or anti-transplant? Or anti-surgery? Far-fetched? EIGHT states in the US allow physicians to make their own MORAL choices about YOUR treatment, and still practice medicine....

    • Isn't a doctor's job to help you when you are sick. What if you are between life and death and you need a transfusion to live. What's going to happen if the doctor is anti blood transfusion, is he going to let you die? Who's fault is it. Don't they take a hippocratic oath? I think if you have those kind of beliefs then shouldn't be a doctor because then you are not helping anyone. Who would want to go to a physican that can't treat them because of their beliefs. Aren't we suppose to trust doctors that they will do the right thing when it comes to our health? If you can't leave your beliefs at home then don't be a doctor and look for a new career.
