FINALLY!!! A comic that helps us all to THINK BETTER rather than trying to get us to laugh at all of the difficult challenges of life.
Do I really want to laugh about KKK, right-white supremacy? Is dictatorship something to laugh about? 9/11 inside job or 9/11 Truth is funny material? Nope! But it's definitely food for thought, right?
So have some new thoughts! Expand your mind a bit.
Listen into the mind of Mister Genius.

Mister Genius - ' The Right Path'A downwards view on day to day living.
Get a new perspective from The Big Headed One. -
I feel if he is a genius then shouldn't he be able to make those issues funny. And yes those issues are funny, when told the right way. Nothing is funny about the events. It is the reactions of society that are funny and makes us think.

SiameseTwinPuppets,
Mister Genius is a character. Most humans (IMO) have some elements of genius, whether they choose to (or are able to) share that in their lives is a different story.
I suppose I could make the comic funny.
But, as I said, a lot of things in life aren't funny. And you must admit that most of the Sunday comics aren't funny at all.
So why try to be funny all the time?
We're in a serious time where we need to have serious change, but we have leadership that is more focussed on corporate domination and expansion of class domination than on preserving the environment or helping deal with poverty and homelessness.
So I don't think its' funny. I can draw funny comics, I'm hella hilarious in person -- but I'm not feeling the funniness right now.
Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin -- they are funny but they occasionally make some heavy hitting statements. But it's all couched inside humor and doesn't spark people taking any action, does it?
Not saying my comic will either, but if it helps someone have a thought ... could be SPARK TIME? :) -
If Mr. Genius is yours then you are, as creator of a genius, a genius or else he is not a genius. I am not telling you to do anything. Make a funny comic if you want, if you don't then do not. All I said was if your character was a genius then he should be able find the funny in anything.
You are a comic writer/artist, that gives you authority with comics. You have no right to say that people do not become active because they laughed at a issue in a comedy club. A comedian makes you laugh at everything, it is their job. Your form of expression is not better then any other form. Please do not over exert yourself and opinion.
Carlin during his younger years did a great deal of activist work, and got people active in the government to get some change done. Do not dirty his work and his name.-
