Hampered by injuries, Steve McClaren's England team have faced mounting pressure in the build up to Euro 2008. Israel's victorious clash with Russia on the 17th November saw what hopefully will be the end of this run, with the home team dramatically beating Russia 2-1 and taking England one step closer to qualifying. England play Croatia on the 21st night in what can only be described as true English fashion, taking it right to the wire! You think England still have a Euro 2008 chance?

    • How did we go from relying on an underdog team beating Russia as our only chance of making it to Europe next year to being just one point from the top of the table?

      I think we'll qualify but without Terry, Ferdinand, Rooney and Owen, and with England's recent form in mind, it's going to be tougher than we'd like it to be. Given how jammy we evidently are though, we'll probably end up beating Croatia by the two goals we need to make it to the top of the table and all Steve McClaren's apparent failings will immediately be forgotten.
