A look into Sacramento Hardcore. This video portrays the specific story of of a hardcore dancer and gives insight into the hardcore culture in Sacramento, California. The views expressed in this video should not be used to create stereotypes or be used to pass judgements upon others who may fall into a certain generalized category based on the music they listen to or the fashion style they wear. The music in the background is by Catherine.

Less talking, less stills. More movement, more video, more music. And who is Cory? And why should I care about him? Hardcore is what it says it is: HARDCORE. This was tame and had no movement. The stills are dope though, but put some movement on them.

I understand what you mean about the "more movement" aspect. I created this piece for a photojournalism class i was taking (thus the emphasis on photos and not other mediums). However, i would like to do something like this again with video and a better representation of hardcore music (and the dancing) for those who have never been exposed to it. Thanks for the recommendations!

This is very insightful. The dialogue behind it reminds me of every conversation I've had with people - explaining why I love metal/hardcore, and what it's about. This music is immensely under-appreciated. Its' sad. I'm the drummer of a metal band that's starting up. I too am hoping the scene will shift away from moshing and be more about the visual body movement you can bring to the table. Keep it up man.
