Major congrats Mr. Gore.
...now, the awards are over. Can you PLEASE run for the Presidency!!!?
Superman wears Al Gore pajamas. -
He has work to do as we all do. And this is about more than just receiving an award. This is about the action these awards will hopefully spark on our part.

Oh JanforGore, JanforGore, don't you understand, the presidency is the most powerful position in which to make those changes! Hence the continued encouragements to run. Awards don't create change, power does. Can we help it if we have found the best among us to lead the country and cannot accept silence as a definate NO. I beg you, stop berating everybody!!!!

Hi inSFNM - Are you the originator of the Superman line? I must admit I absoluteley love it and have taken the liberty of using it a few times. I also gave a disclaimer at times admitting it was not my line. If it was you, hope you don't mind?

There is no berating going on in this thread except perhaps in your preconceived notions. And if you don't think awards don't create change tell that to the Nobel Peace Prize winners over all of these years. And power in and of itself does nothing without the backing of millions of others, and as we have seen for the past thrity years the presidency of this country has done nothting regarding the climate crisis for all of it's "power" because it has not had the demand from the people to do anything... however, with the work Mr.Gore and many others are doing now, it soon will. The system is broken and only we can fix it.That takes more than begging Al Gore to do something he is already doing. That takes you and me getting out there and doing it. That's not berating that's reality. No president of this country is going to be able to do anything about this now as it needs to be done without a mass movement of people pushing for change now. You think Al Gore has no power now in that regard? Well, considering where we are posting, I beg to differ.

JanforGore - What makes you think that letting Al know the breadth of his support is the only activity that those of us that do that do? Obviously we are all engaged and know how to direct our comments to those currently in power, and do! We are now dealing with people that are in the highest levels of government that do not believe in this form of governing and have decided they do not have to follow the laws of the land. In order to change that we have to use the system to correct it in order to perserve its validity. This takes a POSITION of power and courage, not just influence, as do the other issues facing our country and the world. Would you prefer if we all just left current.com for another post and leave it all to you? If not, can you somehow just ignore the words meant for Al that are posted. After all, they are not directed at you. Forgive us for communicating with him in the one venue that we might actually have a chance for him to read it.
